We have now added a beta feature (turn it on from your settings page) to mix live feeds from ustream and Qik. The new LIVE tab allows you to go live to your WorldTV channel from your desktop or mobile phone and switch between different live feeds. This is a very early beta feature as of Sep 2009. Please give us feedback and any issues you have.

Homepage for channels
Homepage for channels, where you can see archived clips, previews, trailers for future stuff coming up, aswell as other stuff... just an idea, but it would be really cool. You should be able to upload pictures for backgrounds and stuff.

Add an upload facility
Can you add a video upload facility like YouTube?
Status: plannedWe plan to add this feature, and probably in two ways. We will likely offer a free version that lets you upload directly to a partner site (eg YouTube) through WorldTV, and a premium feature offering very high quality, professional grade WorldTV hosting with oodles of storage space at a very reasonable cost. In the meantime or as an alternative, you can upload videos to any of the video hosting sites we support (eg YouTube, Metacafe, Blip.tv) and then add those videos to your WorldTV channel using the 'add clip by url feature'. You can record video into the system using our webcam feature (which can access any video source attached to your computer), and you can use the Add by URL option to link directly to FLV video files that are hosted on your own servers, if you have this ability. Some users are doing HD quality video in this way.

Can you put something that we can change the visual of our players??

Status: plannedThis is planned and we are looking for Flash designers and Photoshop heads to design some different players for us. We now have the system that we can change the look of the player, we just need the designs. Drop us a line to reception@worldtv.com if you would like to help.
As of Sep 09 we now let you customize the colours of your embeddable player.

Playlists
Creating more then 1 playlist that you can interchange would be great & even better would be able to import playlist from youtube etc that people have already created...being able to just select it to play it instead of having to drag & drop all the time...

Selection of the Country you Want to Appear your Channel In
I have several channels one in Spanish and others in English, since I live is Spain my English channels only appear as Spanish channels in the worldtv public directory.

Monthly and Annual AWARDS
Monthly and Annual awards should be given out on a national and international level, with awards being for highest quality of content, most views etc... This would increase the quality of channels competing, aswell as boost site publicity, as competers may advertise their channel in a larger port... more

online videoediting section
I like the worldTV service but the only thing I really miss is an editor for my programs, so i can upload and edit them online on WorldTV and directly publish it to my WorldTV Account
An online video editor is a major undertaking and could be 'everything we do'. User-wise it is inefficient in that you must upload raw footage (lots of mb's or gb's) to produce a smaller (but still big!) end file. Offline editors do a much better job we think and are already in existence with many years of development time in them. Should we not focus our efforts on bringing new innovations that add value to the whole thing? Do continue to vote on this idea if you want an online video editing tool. It may be that we will revisit this in future. :-)

We have created a channel and would like to use our TV in random mode, so that people who visit us sees always different informations, but we are showing several documentaries that are divided in 2 or 3 parts and if we do it lots of important information would get lost. Categorizing Videos
Hi, have you guys thought about allowing us to categorize our videos so that viewers can choose the category on our channel that they'd like to watch. e.g. News, Sport, Travel etc.
i.e. add a navigation bar on the page.
Hope you can do it.

Updated Jan 08 - Live in the form of the new EPG feature
Categorizing videos within a channel is one approach, and not one we had considered to be honest. The approach we are planning is that you can create multiple channels very easily using WorldTV, on different themes, and we will offer the viewer a way to navigate between your channels (that you have control over). This will offer very similar functionality to what you describe. With this system you could create your own mini 'network' of channels, yours and your friends etc. This is coming Nov/Dec 2008.

Please make control buttons on other languages
Control buttons (play, stop, next) on user language can be a real upgrade to this site.
Please start with Hebrew.
We have added 7 languages besides English - Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Ukrainian, Russian
If you would like to do a Hebrew translation for us, or any other language we are missing, please drop us a line at reception@worldtv.com. We will pay a small honorarium to anyone who translates our site for us. It's about 1800 words.

Hi Jonas. We spent a lot of time on this feature way way back in late 2006 when we first started developing the service. The problem was that Adobe do not allow key presses when a flash movie is in full screen mode, so it only works at regular size (within the browser), and even then you often have to click first somewhere on the channel to get 'focus' on the Flash part. Try it though, you'll find the arrow keys work. The space bar was working too until recently.

Html/javascript code with the logo of Worldtv to embed
To advertise Worldtv in all our websites and blogs, I think it would be useful to have a code we can insert so that when you click on the worldtv logo you go to their website.
I have put the worldtv logo in my blogs but I would to like to have a direct link also.

embedded player bugs
