We thank everyone for their (very long time) support of this feature. No one is happier than us to see it finally go into production. :)

Add an upload facility
Can you add a video upload facility like YouTube?
99 votesWe plan to add this feature, and probably in two ways. We will likely offer a free version that lets you upload directly to a partner site (eg YouTube) through WorldTV, and a premium feature offering very high quality, professional grade WorldTV hosting with oodles of storage space at a very reasonable cost. In the meantime or as an alternative, you can upload videos to any of the video hosting sites we support (eg YouTube, Vimeo) and then add those videos to your WorldTV channel using the ‘add clip by url feature’. You can also use the Add by URL option to link directly to FLV video files that are hosted on your own servers, if you have this ability.

Create a ROKU channel for World TV users
More and more internet users are flocking to use services such as Roku to access video content,it would be a great idea to create a roku channel which would feature new channels,popular channels and add a search so Roku users can find channels-here is the url for it-http://www.roku.com/developer its free to use-I have developed roku channels in as little as 5 minutes however havent been succesful with my worldtv channel becuase feed is in rss format and roku requires xml submission.

Playlists
Creating more then 1 playlist that you can interchange would be great & even better would be able to import playlist from youtube etc that people have already created...being able to just select it to play it instead of having to drag & drop all the time...

Development is expected to take one month starting June 1st 2012, and will represent the first stage in our development of the much requested Scheduling Feature (being developed this Summer). Be able to make your WorldTV channel to a TV Channel
I want my WorldTV Channel to on TV.
61 votesThis is a major focus for us and with v1.0 released in May 2011, we have introduced compatibility with Boxee – the first Web-to-TV device we are supporting. More devices are planned and we are looking at Roku, Samsung and others. Do vote on this feature and add your comments about platforms you would like to see supported.

Group video parts for random mode
We have created a channel and would like to use our TV in random mode, so that people who visit us sees always different informations, but we are showing several documentaries that are divided in 2 or 3 parts and if we do it lots of important information would get lost. Getting a way to group the whole series would make that they move in the random chain as a unit... Thanks anyway for creating WorldTV ;-)

Categorizing Videos
Hi, have you guys thought about allowing us to categorize our videos so that viewers can choose the category on our channel that they'd like to watch. e.g. News, Sport, Travel etc.
i.e. add a navigation bar on the page.
Hope you can do it.
38 votesCategorizing videos within a channel is one approach, and not one we had considered to be honest. The approach we are taking is that you can create multiple channels very easily using WorldTV, on different themes. Coming with v1.0 is the ability to customize the EPG so your viewers can switch between your different channels. This is due in May 2011.

Selection of the Country you Want to Appear your Channel In
I have several channels one in Spanish and others in English, since I live is Spain my English channels only appear as Spanish channels in the worldtv public directory.
The English channels I have created are not designed for Spanish people, I think it would be a great idea if we can choose the countries in which we want our channels to appear.

Monthly and Annual AWARDS
Monthly and Annual awards should be given out on a national and international level, with awards being for highest quality of content, most views etc... This would increase the quality of channels competing, aswell as boost site publicity, as competers may advertise their channel in a larger portion of the web, to more people.

I like the worldTV service but the only thing I really miss is an editor for my programs, so i can upload and edit them online on WorldTV and directly publish it to my WorldTV Account

An online video editor is a major undertaking and could be ‘everything we do’. From a user perspective it is inefficient in that you must upload raw footage (lots of mb’s or gb’s) to produce a smaller (but still big!) end file. Offline editors do a much better job we think and are already in existence with many years of development time in them. We’d prefer to ‘build on the shoulders of others’ and focus on new innovations rather than re-inventing the wheel. :-)

Roku includes a free developer kit for those wanting to stream via thier network-would love for you guys to take advantage of that-so we can reach a much larger audience via Roku-thanks

I mean a pause, forward, backward, etc. both on DVD. Add a record button, if the video is not forbidden to download the author! I think these features increased the audience of viewers!30 votes -

The ability to place your own Ads.
I'd like the ability to place my own ads after a certain amount of views are played. Right now on my channel I have my own ad videos throw in randomly but I'd love to be able to say have my own ad video play after 5 other video views. I run a music video channel so it would be a great way to promote something specific.

It would be nice if there were a possibility to describe the channel.
Maybe by tagging the channel and videos.I think this would be a very useful tool.

Please make control buttons on other languages
Control buttons (play, stop, next) on user language can be a real upgrade to this site.
Please start with Hebrew.

We have added 7 languages besides English – Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Ukrainian, Russian
If you would like to do a Hebrew translation for us, or any other language we are missing, please drop us a line at reception@worldtv.com. We will pay a small honorarium to anyone who translates our site for us. It’s about 1800 words.
